Welcome to the new danceaday.com. You will be able to watch a number of new and exciting dance videos that are short, fun and informative. We hope you enjoy it. Let us know in the comments and tell your friends about it.
The term danceaday, as I use it, comes from my studies with Susan Rethorst, whose awesome book "A Choreographic Mind" you should have and read. Find out more here.
At the time I was in grad school at Ohio State and was taking three classes that led to this project: a composition class with Bebe Miller and Susan Rethorst, a postmodern dance history class with Candace Feck, and a podcasting class with Dan Shellenbarger. Needing to do a presentation in my postmodern dance history class on an article by David Gere about Joe Goode's 29 Effeminate Gestures, the three classes merged into the concept of danceaday.com.
